Job Summary:
Google DeepMind is a pioneering AI lab focused on advancing AI development to solve complex global challenges. In this role, you will build Gemini applications that redefine AI interaction for billions, focusing on scalable mobile systems and user-friendly experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Be the pioneer of bringing the latest material design language and experience to the Gemini App.
• Architect and build scalable mobile systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of native platform capabilities and best practices.
• Develop and maintain supporting server-side logic to power mobile features and optimize data for the client.
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Google Material teams to translate complex AI capabilities into user-friendly mobile experiences.
• Own and build CoreUI libraries to fast track development and bring new model capabilities from the initial prototype to launch on Gemini's mobile apps.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience in native mobile development (Android or iOS), with a focus on building and shipping user-facing applications.
• Experience with modern Android mobile languages (e.g., Kotlin or Java) and platforms.
Preferred:
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience with mobile system design, with the ability to architect resilient, scalable features.
• Experience in client-facing server development to enhance mobile capabilities.
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
