Overall Job Summary
Tractor Supply Company is currently hiring for our 2027 Accounting Summer Internship Program at our Store Support Center located in Brentwood, TN!
The Accounting Summer Internship is an 11-week program designed for students interested in building a career in corporate accounting, audit, finance, or related areas. Interns gain hands-on experience supporting key accounting activities while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative corporate environment.
Throughout the summer, interns will contribute to meaningful projects and gain exposure to areas such as account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statement preparation and analysis, internal audit, variance analysis, and financial reporting. The program provides an opportunity to strengthen technical and analytical skills, understand how Accounting supports a large retail organization, and make meaningful contributions to the financial accuracy and success of Tractor Supply Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
This posting represents internship opportunities across multiple areas within Accounting, including:
General Accounting Intern
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.
  • Support account reconciliations, journal entries, and other accounting processes.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis.

Internal Audit Intern
  • Support internal audits and financial or operational reviews.
  • Assist with evaluating processes, controls, and potential areas of risk.
  • Analyze information and help identify opportunities to strengthen processes and mitigate risk.

Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn additional financial tools and systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize information, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in corporate finance, accounting, financial analysis, or related areas
  • Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship
