Job DescriptionThe job requires at least 8 years of experience in project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects. Additionally, the candidate should have at least 6 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks. The role also demands at least 6 years of experience in design and architecture review. Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, DW architecture, ETL frameworks, design and development using Informatica, best practices, and troubleshooting is essential. Understanding of Unix/Linux system, file systems, shell scripting is also required. Experience in Teradata is necessary, and life sciences industry experience, specifically in pharma, is highly preferred. The candidate should have strong knowledge of estimation and extensive experience in architecting ETL/OLAP solutions. Additionally, strong knowledge of performance tuning on any RDBMS (Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 etc.) is desired. Good awareness of enterprise data warehousing (EDW), analytics, enterprise dashboard, key performance indicators (KPIs), data quality, master data management, data governance, and DB appliances is desired. The candidate should also be willing to work with multiple project teams in tandem in a technical consultation role. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, as well as excellent communication and customer presentation skills, are required. Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment, engaging with teams in an onsite/offshore model, is also necessary.
QualificationsBasic qualifications include a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 11 years of experience with information technology is also required.
