Job description

About the Role

We're looking for a talented and experienced Footwear Designer to join our ESO team and help shape the future of a women's footwear brand. In this role, you'll work closely with the Design Director to bring each season's vision to life — from initial concept through final development. If you have a sharp eye for design, deep product knowledge, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, we want to hear from you.

This is a full-time, in-office position.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Design Director on daily design processes, including creating CADs and sourcing seasonal inspiration
  • Build detailed technical packages in our PLM system — covering CADs, construction details, materials, and color specs for development and production
  • Review prototypes and drive revisions to ensure designs meet quality and aesthetic standards
  • Lead trend and market research, including domestic and international shopping trips to stay ahead of the market

What You Bring

  • 5–7+ years of footwear design experience (women's footwear experience a strong plus)
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Solid understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills — you can present ideas clearly and confidently
  • A portfolio that showcases your creative range, sketching ability, and technical drawing skills

Why Join ESO

E.S. Originals has been a driving force in U.S. footwear for over 70 years — and we're not slowing down. Since 1954, we've built a reputation for delivering stylish, accessible, high-quality footwear across men's, women's, and children's categories, spanning both branded and private label. Joining ESO means stepping into a company with deep industry roots, real staying power, and a team that takes pride in the craft. You won't be a small piece of a corporate machine — you'll have genuine impact on product that reaches a wide, diverse customer base season after season.
