We are looking for friendly, outgoing individuals to join our team as Footwear Retail Sales Associates at our Logan store. As a member of the Al's team, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience for every customer.

Working with the top brands in the industry, including Brooks, HOKA, Chaco, On, and more, the ideal candidate is knowledgeable and eager to share their expertise and passion to help customers find the perfect fit.
We're seeking candidates who are passionate about footwear, comfort, performance, and style-and who are committed to delivering excellent customer service. In addition to working with the top brands in the industry, you'll have access to employee-only discounts and exclusive vendor deals!
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive customer experience through fair, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Greet and assist customers in an engaging and helpful manner.
  • Assess customers' needs by asking questions about fit, activity level, comfort preferences, and intended use.
  • Offer knowledgeable recommendations based on customers' lifestyle and performance needs.
  • Measure and fit customers properly to ensure comfort, performance, and satisfaction.
  • Become familiar with merchandise to provide accurate and efficient product information.
  • Locate items and help customers find the footwear they're looking for.
  • Resolve customer questions or concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Accurately communicate pricing, promotions, and sale details.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with store policies.
  • Ensure merchandise displays are neat, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, footwear technology, brand updates, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless shopping experience.
  • Support store goals by contributing to sales and completing related duties as needed.

Qualifications
  • Flexible availability with the ability to work all mandatory sales events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Comfortable approaching customers and initiating conversations.
  • Strong interest or background in footwear, running, outdoor activities, or fashion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, high energy, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Team-oriented and able to work effectively with others.
  • Able to provide quick and accurate product, sales, and pricing information.
  • Committed to maintaining cleanliness and safety on the sales floor.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements necessary to complete job responsibilities.

  • Previous retail experience.
  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with running, walking, hiking, or other active lifestyles.
  • Experienced runner.
  • Familiarity with footwear brands, fit, and basic foot-measuring techniques.
  • Ability to learn and retain product knowledge across multiple footwear categories (performance, casual, outdoor, recovery, etc.).
  • Genuine interest in footwear, fit, performance, and style trends.

    • What is the schedule for this job?
    • The schedule for this part-time position is Tuesday and Thursday morning/day shifts from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with open availability required on Saturdays. Shifts are available in 4-, 6-, and 8-hour blocks.
      Weekend and holiday availability is required.
