PRIMARY TASKS & MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Work with the Youth Sports Director, Head Varsity football coach and other Nixa Youth Football head and assistant coaches, serving grades 3-6. Work with the High School Varsity football coaches to blend fundamental teaching ideas. Organize practice plans, lead practices, stress safety and proper techniques in teaching fundamentals. Supervision in all practices and game supervision before, during and after practices and games. Work with Activities Director and develop weekly practice schedules and game planning.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Prior youth football coaching experience is preferred. Possess a good knowledge of the game of football. Possess strong relationship-building skills. Ability to be organized and calm under pressure. Good sportsmanship is required. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
