Job description

Game Glimpse is hiring football players (past or present, flag or tackle) and fans to help us capture play-by-play video of games at Gay Bowl XXV, a flag football tournament attracting 116 teams from across the country taking place Friday, October 3 - Sunday, October 5, 2025.

No prior videography experience is necessary and we provide all equipment! If you know the basic rules of American Football and donโ€™t mind being active on your feet for several hours, this is a perfect fit!

Quick Details

  • Pay: $17.25/hr - $20/hr, based on previous work experience, football knowledge, and availability during the tournament weekend.
  • When: Friday, October 3 - Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 8:00AM - 5:30PM. Half-day and full-day shifts are available. Youโ€™ll be able to indicate your availability during the weekend on the application.

There will be a 1-hour paid training session on-site on Thursday, October 2 (multiple times will be offered to meet your schedule), and a 30-minute paid training video you will watch on your own time. We will try to work with your schedule to find a training time that works for you, so please do not let it hold you up from applying.

  • Where: Surf Sports Park, 14989 Via De La Valle, Del Mar, CA 92014
  • Who: Ages 16+, basic football knowledge, physical ability to stay active on feet for several hours.

What youโ€™ll do

  • Use the Game Glimpse app and a phone we provide you to film every play of flag football games.
  • Use the Game Glimpse app to log the result of each play (completion, run, incomplete pass, first down conversion, touchdown, safety, etc.), being sure to accurately track the possession and down for each play
  • Move actively to keep ~10-20 yards ahead of the line of scrimmage for the best camera angles. This will involve being on your feet for ~1.25 hours at a time with a short break halftime, moving up and down the sidelines of a 100-yard field as the ball is advanced.
  • Show up on time and stay for the full time of your scheduled shifts. Players are counting on you to capture their best moments on the field!

What youโ€™ll need

  • Football fluency- You donโ€™t need to have played, but you should know the game cold. Can you track downs, conversions, turnovers, and penalties โ€“ even during no-huddle tempo?
  • Physical endurance- Ability to stay on your feet for multiple games per shift, adjust camera angles on the move, and occasionally jog short distances on a 100-yard field in outdoor conditions (sun, limited shade). Reasonable accommodations will be considered as required by law.
  • Reliable transportation- You'll need to get yourself to and from the fields. If you are planning to rely on public transportation, please be sure to confirm schedules before applying (especially for morning shifts).
