Austin Country Club is currently hiring for a part-time/full-time Food Service Attendant / Restaurant Server to join our hospitality team in the Austin, TX area. This serving position earns a competitive wage of $13/hour, plus a service charge. The service charge is equal to 18% of your food and beverage sales.

DAY-TO-DAY
This part-time/full-time restaurant serving position in hospitality works a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Split shifts (doubles) may be scheduled based on the needs of the facility.
As a Food Service Attendant / Restaurant Server with our hospitality team, you play an essential role in ensuring that our members receive top-quality beverage and food service while visiting our country club. Using your exceptional customer service skills, you provide support to other team members and managers for our premium guest service offerings. You are responsible for the daily setup and breakdown of our dining area as well as ensuring that the pantry, common areas, and our overall environment is presentable throughout the day. Whenever you engage with members, you use your superb hospitality skills to make sure they feel welcome and at home within our facility.
As members enter our dining area, you greet each of them and seat them at a table. In addition, you maintain a working knowledge of all of our food and beverage options, including ingredients and methods of preparation. You assist members with choosing options from our menu and are always available to answer any questions they may have. Anytime an issue or concern is brought to your attention by a member, you are quick to report to management in order to find a prompt resolution. You also attend staff meetings and training as needed to constantly improve your serving knowledge. Having a job in food service where you get to be a part of a collaborative team while using your customer service skills brings you great fulfillment, which is why you thrive in this part-time serving position with our restaurant!

REQUIREMENTS FOR A FOOD SERVICE ATTENDANT / RESTAURANT SERVER
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience working for a restaurant or in a serving position
  • Deep knowledge about wine, liquor, beer, and food service
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time as well as lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Excellent customer service skills
