B2B - Sales Development Representative (SDR), Healthcare

CookUnity

OR

Full-time

Job description

About the Team:

The B2B team operates like a startup within CookUnity - entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and bold in its ambitions. We're building a new category at the intersection of food, healthcare, and outcomes-driven nutrition. Our Healthcare vertical is one of our highest-priority growth areas, and this role sits right at the center of it.

CookUnity is the leading chef-to-consumer platform connecting independent chefs with food lovers across the country. By combining culinary creativity with a powerful technology platform, we're redefining meal delivery and making chef-crafted meals more accessible than ever. Our mission is to empower chefs while delivering an exceptional food experience to customers nationwide.

The role:

As a Sales Development Representative on the Healthcare pod, you'll play a critical role in generating new business opportunities for our healthcare sales organization. You'll own both sides of the top of the funnel: driving strategic outbound to target accounts, and working the inbound that comes from your own outreach as well as from marketing-generated demand.

You'll run AI-assisted outbound campaigns (we use Artisan) to reach decision-makers responsible for employee health, benefits, and wellness programs - then qualify the interest those campaigns and our marketing generate, turning it into a pipeline. This is a high-ownership role where you'll help define what great outbound and inbound look like for the healthcare vertical as we scale. You'll partner closely with Account Executives to identify target accounts, engage decision-makers, and create qualified pipelines.

If you're motivated by learning, competition, and career growth, this role offers hands-on coaching and a clear path to advancement within a rapidly growing organization.

What You'll Do
  • Run AI-assisted outbound campaigns in Artisan - building and refining target lists, messaging, and sequences, and owning the quality and results rather than letting automation run on autopilot.
  • Generate new business through a multi-channel outbound approach including cold calling, email, social selling, and strategic account outreach.
  • Work inbound leads from both your own outbound replies and marketing-generated demand - responding quickly and qualifying with strong judgment.
  • Partner with Account Executives to develop account strategies and penetrate target healthcare organizations.
  • Schedule discovery meetings with qualified prospects and key decision-makers.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed activity, meeting, and pipeline generation goals.
  • Maintain accurate prospect and account information within CRM and sales engagement platforms.
  • Research target accounts, buyer personas, organizational changes, and healthcare industry trends to improve outreach effectiveness.
  • Share market feedback and prospect insights to help improve messaging, processes, and overall sales performance.
What You'll Bring
  • 0-4 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, retail/hospitality, business development, or healthcare / health-tech space.
  • Comfort with technology and genuine enthusiasm for AI tools - you'd rather operate and tune a system than grind manually. Experience with AI sales tools, sequencers, or automation (Artisan, Clay, Outreach, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to engage new people and build rapport quickly.
  • Confident in expressing opinions and overcoming objections or conflict.
  • Curious about exploring and developing new CookUnity Ideal Customer Profiles within healthcare - for example, Medicaid, health plans, hospitals, employers, and behavioral health residential programs.
  • A competitive mindset and willingness to embrace coaching and continuous improvement.
  • Comfort working in a high-activity, outbound-focused environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A growth-oriented attitude with a desire to build a long-term career in sales.
