SUMMARY 

Assists with Cold Menu production responsibilities, including directing and supervising volunteers. Fulfills outbound orders (adding completed pans to carts), routes and stages carts for delivery. Provides support to the Inventory Specialist for vendor deliveries, put-away, and ingredient material staging for pre-production.

Requirements

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list is not all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

Production Responsibilities

  • Greets, trains volunteers and supervises production of Cold Menu kits.
  • Assists in the Cold Menu assembly area with restocking, product rotation, and movement of finished product to designated areas. 
  • Monitors volunteer work for quality and completeness.
  • Documents any/all required HACCP steps in the production process.
  • Assists cooks in production of CFK Hot and Combo meals inside the kitchen as required.

Order Fulfillment Responsibilities: 

  • Fulfills orders for all CFK customers by adding completed pans to order carts, checking and routing finished orders, and moving completed orders to designated areas for transportation.
  • Assists and/or supervises volunteers in the final assembly/build of outbound CFK orders (expediting).
  • Manages inventory and sanitation for all order delivery equipment. Culls broken equipment for disposal. Collects soiled inbound delivery equipment outside of the delivery equipment rotation.
  • Assembles and/or supervises volunteers in the assembly of cold and dry components for CFK Hot and Combo meals. Stages assembled components in designated storage areas or on the correct outbound order.

Inventory Responsibilities:

  • Assists Inventory Specialist in receiving deliveries from vendors and product orders from the food bank. Puts away product in designated storage areas in a timely manner to maintain cold chain as required. Rotates product inventory upon receipt to reflect First in First Out (FIFO) or First Expired First Out (FEFO) as required. 
  • Utilizing kitchen inventory/production software, updates inventory/production/fulfillment orders as required and complete cycle counts of inventory on daily/weekly basis. 
  • Assists in properly maintaining designated CFK storage areas for cleanliness as per regulations. Performs deep cleaning as required and address all plant tags for storage areas prior to production.
  • Assists in daily pre-production staging of inventory.

Other duties

  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Participates in general kitchen sanitation as required.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum, one (1) to two (2) years warehousing, order fulfillment, or food distribution setting. Experience using inventory software and completing inventory documentation in EXCEL preferred. ServSafe Certified preferred, but not required. Tow Motor experience preferred.


Physical Requirements and Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
