Job description

Our client, a leading nutraceutical contract manufacturer, is searching for a new Sales Manager. The Sales Manager is responsible for driving company growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding the client base, and building lasting relationships with key stakeholders. This is a hunter role that will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and presentations to negotiations and contract closure while ensuring client satisfaction and alignment with company objectives.
The manager will collaborate cross-functionally with product development, project management, and production teams, providing market insights to refine offerings and reporting regularly on sales performance and trends to senior leadership.
**This is a remote role, but the ideal candidate will be based in the Mountain West Region of the United States and be open to frequent travel for client visits and industry events.**
Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential clients
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's offerings and client base
  • Prepare and deliver tailored presentations and proposals to prospective clients
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout the sales cycle
  • Manage the sales pipeline, tracking all stages from lead generation to contract closure
  • Set and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets in alignment with company objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, project management, production and more
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms for the company while meeting client expectations
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company's ODM products and capabilities
  • Provide feedback to product development teams to refine offerings based on market demand and client feedback
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends for senior management
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the company's CRM

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Food Science, Sales or other related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in a B2B, CMO, and/or CDMO environment.
  • Experience in the Nutraceutical, Vitamin, Supplement, or functional food/Bev space
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities (written and verbal).
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client and partner relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office/Google Suite; experience with reporting and forecasting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product development, production, project management, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events

Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000 + Bonus
