Job description

JOB FUNCTION:

Responsible for driving mobile food pantry from distribution base in Bridgeton to numerous distribution sites throughout Cumberland and Gloucester Counties. Help with distribution of food at mobile pantry sites and with preparation and stocking of pantry as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Drive truck and enclosed mobile pantry trailer from base in Bridgeton to distribution sites on a regular schedule.
  2. Help with distributing food to clients at distribution sites.
  3. Complete daily travel logs and other required paperwork.
  4. As required, assist with stocking and/or unloading food products in the mobile pantry trailer.
  5. As needed, pick up food donations from local businesses or farms.
  6. Arrange for routine maintenance for vehicle assigned; seek approval from Supervisor before taking vehicle to the garage.
  7. Follow rules and regulations of the highway while driving all Gateway vehicles and while commuting to and from assigned work sites.
  8. Other Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be willing and able to lift over 50 lbs.

New Jersey Driver's License

Strong preference for commercial driving experience

Maintain a good driving record (accepted by Tri-County insurance carrier)

High School Diploma or equivalent
