Job description

Jamestown Plastics has openings for a Manufacturing Machine Operator.This position reports to the Production Manager and works closely with other machine operators as well as Quality to ensure the quality of parts being produced.The Machine Operator uses machine tools to create production parts with a high degree of accuracy to conform to customer requirements/specifications. The Machine Operator: Performs machine set ups and production tool changeovers.Operates machinery and equipment according to instruction.Adjusts machinery when necessary to improve quality or performance.Performs basic production machine maintenance and machine troubleshooting.Observes and follows company safety rules and regulations.Depending on customer demands, this position will float between different operations on different machines. Playing an important part of the daily operation at Jamestown Plastics production line(s), you will be responsible for producing accurate and quality assembly parts and finished products safely, efficiently, and effectively. Experience as a Machine Operator, knowledge of production procedures, and analytical skills are preferred; however, some internal and external training may be available to qualified candidates.
