Machine Operator (Food Manufacturing) – 1st & 2nd ShiftBuild Great Food. Build a Great Career.

At Sandridge Crafted Foods, we're looking for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals to join our Manufacturing team as Machine Operators. Whether you're experienced in food manufacturing or looking to grow your production career, we'll provide the training you need to become a skilled operator in one of our production departments.

Our Machine Operators are responsible for producing the high-quality soups, salads, dips, and ready-to-eat foods enjoyed by customers across the country.

What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting food production equipment while ensuring every product meets our high standards for quality and food safety.

Your day may include:

  • Setting up, operating, and monitoring a variety of food processing and packaging equipment

  • Learning to safely operate multiple production machines and becoming cross-trained across your work area

  • Following recipes, production instructions, and operating procedures

  • Monitoring product quality, weights, temperatures, labels, and production specifications

  • Performing equipment changeovers, minor adjustments, and basic troubleshooting

  • Completing production paperwork, quality checks, and HACCP documentation

  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment between production runs

  • Identifying product or equipment issues and communicating with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams

  • Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and workplace safety procedures

  • Working as part of a team to safely meet daily production goals

What We're Looking For
  • Manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred, but not required

  • No food manufacturing experience? We'll train the right candidate.

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Reliable attendance and positive attitude

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Basic computer and communication skills

  • Flexible to work overtime when production demands require it

Physical Requirements

This is an active manufacturing position requiring the ability to:

  • Stand and walk for 8–12 hour shifts

  • Frequently bend, squat, reach, push, and pull

  • Lift up to 65 pounds

  • Work in refrigerated food production environments

  • Safely operate industrial food processing equipment
