Job description

Seeking Packaging Machine Operator (3rd shift) Monday - Friday 10:30PM - 7:00AM(2nd shift) Monday - Friday 2:30PM - 11:00PM; Previous machine operator experience of approximately 1 year desired. Forklift experience preferred!
Benefit Spotlight: At Ken's Foods, we manufacture Ken's Salad dressing and Sweet Baby Ray's barbeque sauce. The process from following the recipe, creating the products using established specifications and quality processes, packaging into retail and food service containers, and shipping the product to our customers is all handled under our roof. Our Packaging Machine Operator positions start at $23.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, and we are paid weekly. SUMMARY
Machine Operator are multi-skilled individuals that can be rotated and utilized to support various operations. Machine Operators will have responsibilities that include some or all of the following tasks based on their work area; proper operating of machines, general cleaning of operational equipment, and product testing if required (quality at the source, QAS). Machine Operator will also need to exhibit skills and behaviors that support other team member's tasks if no foreman or team lead can be present.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Maintain quality and production standards while operating equipment
• General cleaning of operational equipment (labeler brushes, packer air bags, infeed rails, spills, etc.)
• Possess overall knowledge and understanding of the entire production line
• Ability to stack and un-stack cases; pack boxes.
• Ability to inspect bottles and cases.
• Ability to communicate and understand numerous product changes, boxes, labels, etc.
• Ability to complete necessary paperwork
• Quality at the Source testing, where applicable to operations
• Ensures compliance with corporate standards and systems to monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality and facility cleanliness
• Other duties as assigned
FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Producing product free of contamination
• Following all Ken's Foods SQF, Security and GMP policies
• Reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
• Inspection of work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
