Summary: The following details the expectations of a Decorating Machine
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Visually check quality of print against approved sample (check if light or dark, check if off-center, check if faded or missing print, check molding parts for shorts, flash, strings, grease, etc.).
  • Maintain quality of product within your zone/machine(s).
  • Load product into lid and cup printers.
  • Sort through start-up.
  • Pack parts and verify count is correct.
  • Stir and add ink.
  • Clean blankets and plates.
  • Change and trim blankets.
  • Start/stop printers.
  • Clean color heads, rollers and fountains.
  • Set up color heads for next print run.
  • Assist decorating technicians with change-overs.
  • Check plates, inks, labels and color standard against traveler.
  • Clear unload in-feed, and restacker jams.
  • Maintain appropriate speed assigned each printer.
  • Follow all GMPs, Food Safety, and CCP's.
  • Maintain paperwork such as audits, downtime logs and etc.
  • Application of printed label to box.
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor or department manager.

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma, equivalent or on the job training.
Language Skills:

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems.
