Job description

Our client in consumer packaged goods manufacturing is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have team playing, lab skills and trainability which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Evansville IN
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22 hourly
Contract: Long term/conversion to permanent possible
Shift: M - F: 8a - 4:30p (flexible on start time up to 9am)
Job Duties:

  • Collect, prepare, and analyze routine quantitative samples of raw materials, finished products and premixes.
  • Perform chemical quality control tests of vitamins and other nutrients following established methods and utilizing accepted laboratory techniques.
  • Operate laboratory instruments.
  • Perform duties required in the routine maintenance of a safe and appropriate laboratory environment which is compliant with company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain current, complete, legible notebooks and laboratory records in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices.
What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, etc.) - OR - Equivalent Lab experience and skills will also be considered.
  • Demonstrates ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using Microsoft based computer applications a must.
  • Familiarity with ion chromatography, ICP, mass spectrometry detection and laboratory information management computer systems a plus but not required.
