Specific Duties
  • To inspect, spot check, and supervise inspectors, technicians, and other staff to make sure the standard of quality does not diminish, and to provide guidance and feedback
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
  • Set requirements for suppliers and monitor their compliance
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines
  • Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives in a timely manner
  • Perform executed batch record reviews
  • Create and keep track of product lot specific documentation
  • Internal and external audit oversight
  • Review all analytical test results relevant to microbiology lab as required
  • Assure accuracy of SOPs relating to microbiology, including creation and revision
  • Assist in qualifications/validation process related to microbiology
  • Review and approve incidents, deviations, investigations, change control and OOS as required
  • Work with colleagues in operations to resolve quality and compliance issues
  • Serve as the back up to release raw materials and components for the GMP operations
  • Perform any additional duties and tasks assigned to the Quality Department
Requirements
This position will frequently team with other quality assurance agencies in order to produce documents such as:
Kosher certifications
  • Certificate of Analysis (COA)
  • Phytosanitary Certification
  • USDA Certification
  • FDA Certification
Requirements
  • Fully Bilingual - both writing and speaking
  • 1-2 years of experience in a quality assurance position
  • Experience in food related markets are preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing and production scheduling preferred
