The Goddard School of Lenox Hill is an early childhood education program dedicated to providing high-quality, safe, and nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We are committed to providing a positive work environment with an emphasis on teamwork and positive relationships with children, families, and faculty.
We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and hard-working food handler for our Lenox Hill location.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Some of the major duties of the food handler are:
  • Warming up food for children
  • Delivering food to all classrooms for AM snack, lunch, and PM snack
  • Collecting food from all classrooms after AM snack, lunch, and PM snack
  • Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
  • Washing dishes and putting them away
  • Keeping the general kitchen area clean (wiping counters, taking out garbage, etc.)
  • When not preparing, serving, collecting, storing, or cleaning the kitchen, the ideal candidate will assist in the classrooms for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Keeping inventory of food and school supplies, and updating management of what is needed on a weekly basis
