Starting Wage: $16.79 hour plus tips

The Food Court Barista is responsible for providing food and beverage services out of the Coastal Roasters food outlet.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides prompt service to guests, completing food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitors guests needs on a continual basis, ensuring quality and accuracy of orders.
  • Understands and learns all functions of Coastal Roasters.
  • Remains knowledgeable on all menu items, giving suggestions and assistance to guests as needed.
  • Opens and closes Coastal Roasters as scheduled, ensuring areas are properly stocked and ready for next shift.
  • Completes side work duties and document on necessary forms.
  • Sanitizes and deep cleans display cases, fridges, freezers and other equipment used for food/beverage products.
  • Processes payments and monitors cash drawer for organization while keeping the drawer balanced.
  • Demonstrates exceptional guest service by having an excellent attitude when dealing with guests and Team Members.
  • Closely follows the F&B department health and personal hygiene policy.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. ย  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.ย 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.ย ย 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
