Description:

As the Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Food and Beverage Manager with the short and long-term planning oversight of the Food & Beverage operations in the front and back of the house. You will plan and supervise the activities of a diverse workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable running of the business.


This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements:

  • Assist in accurately forecasting food and beverage revenue/expenses
  • Assist in ensuring hotel staff is trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables
  • Identify major revenue and expense opportunities and possible problems
  • Create and distribute team member schedules in a timely manner
  • Supervise day to day operations of food and beverage outlets
  • Manage and maintain the sanitation of the food and beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect the assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service

Job Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the Food and Beverage/Hospitality profession. This included the knowledge required for managing people, complex problems, and food and beverage management
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
