Senior Event Operations Manager - Bold Catering
Bold Catering is seeking a passionate, people-first Senior Event Operations Manager to lead the execution of unforgettable events while cultivating a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and genuine care for both guests and team members. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives in high-energy environments, leads with empathy and confidence, and believes that exceptional service starts behind the scenes with empowered teams and strong operational systems.
As the Senior Event Operations Manager, you will oversee all event service execution and bar operations, leading a talented team of Bar Captains, Event Managers, Event Chefs, and hourly staff. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the guest experience from setup to final toast — ensuring every event reflects our standards of excellence and hospitality.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and mentor Bar Captains, Event Managers, Event Chefs, and hourly staff to create a culture rooted in accountability, teamwork, and hospitality excellence
  • Oversee all front-of-house event operations, ensuring seamless execution across catered events of varying size and complexity
  • Provide real-time leadership during events by guiding teams, resolving challenges, and maintaining a polished guest experience
  • Manage beverage operations including inventory, ordering, transfers, consumption reporting, and event-specific bar preparation
  • Partner closely with culinary, logistics, sales, and scheduling teams to ensure flawless communication and execution across departments
  • Develop and maintain service standards, operational procedures, and training programs that elevate consistency and performance
  • Coach and develop team members through ongoing feedback, one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and professional mentorship
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and promotion readiness for FOH team members and event leadership staff
  • Monitor staffing levels and event assignments to ensure proper coverage and operational efficiency
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve systems, streamline processes, and enhance both guest and team experiences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Minimum 10 years of banquet or event service experience

Physical amp; Schedule Requirements
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours) during event execution.

  • Comfortable navigating stairs, ramps, and varied terrain at off-site venues.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions as required for event setup and breakdown.
