Job description

STEM Search Group is seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician on behalf of a growing food & beverage manufacturer in the Milwaukee area. This is a 1st Shift opportunity - no nights, no weekends. You'll be working in a clean, temperature-controlled, highly automated production facility with a small, close-knit maintenance team. Low turnover and strong long-term employee retention.What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and process equipment throughout the plant
  • Work hands-on with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and process sensors
  • Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and pH instrumentation
  • Support plant utilities: boilers, steam, compressed air, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping
  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs to diagnose issues
  • Log work in a CMMS and support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a process manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, pH)
  • Experience supporting plant utility systems - boilers, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, or HVAC
  • Experience maintaining pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
  • Technical degree/certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing background a plus
  • TIG welding experience (stainless steel) a plus
