Job description

Creative Play Preschool is excited to announce our transition to Growing Minds Early Learning Academy beginning August 3rd! We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our growing team and help provide exceptional care and early learning experiences for our youngest children.

Position Details

  • Position: Lead Infant Teacher
  • Location: Charlotte, NC
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time
  • Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on education, qualifications, and experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (5) documented years of experience working in a licensed childcare center, school, or early childhood education program.
  • Experience working with infants (6 weeks to 12 months) in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Current NC Child Care Qualifying Letter.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).
  • Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Knowledge of North Carolina Child Care Licensing Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, nurturing, patient, and organized.

  Preferred Qualifications

           Educational Qualifications (Preferred, but Not Required)

          Growing Minds Early Learning Academy welcomes applicants with a passion for early childhood education. While not required, candidates who meet one or more of the following qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (preferred), Child Development, Elementary Education, or a closely related field.

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field that includes at least 18 semester hours of coursework in early childhood education or child development (birth through age 8).

  • Current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or an equivalent Early Childhood Teaching Credential.

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

  • NC Early Educator Credential, NC Early Childhood Credential, or other state-recognized early childhood credentials are a plus.

  • Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center, preschool, Head Start, NC Pre-K, or other early childhood education setting is highly preferred.
