Research Manager- Office of the President

HIT Strategiesis seeking aresearchmanager(RM)to workinthe Office of the President(OOP)in leading research on Blackpopulationsduring the 2026 election cycle.This is a full-timefixed-termexempt position reporting to the President through December 2026.

Withinthe Office of the President, theRM owns the client relationship throughout the research engagement.Theyreview and editclient deliverablesensuring that analysts are following processes and deliveringqualityresearch products on time.The RM works with our research investment team to execute a roadmap expanding the breadth and depth ofOOP'sissue area expertise. The RM is a content expert thatcollaborates with the marketing and communications team to publicize research across op-eds, mediainterviewsand social media.The RM is a people leader who can build, train, manage,supportand lead effective teams in achievingOffice of the President'sperformance goals.

Key Objectives:

  • Manage research projectslogistics(timeline, substance, quality standard), plan implementation, and coordinate team members to drive towards client product delivery
  • Driveaccurate, high-quality, culturally competent analysis of behaviors, attitudes, values, and other drivers within research populations
  • Providespecialized consultation that allows clients to achieve theirobjectivesand goals
  • Leverage researchexpertiseto pitch to clients and expand revenue generation

  • Manage research projects of both qualitative and quantitative substance from the design stage to final analysis
  • Lead a portfolio of work within issue, geographic, or demographic verticals and ensuring research across all clients in those verticals is consistent and iterative
  • Design and pitch research projects to prospective clients during the sales process
  • Manage client's timeline and projectobjectivesand goals, helping define the scope of work with guiding questions to ensure research substance aligns with client's actionable operations.Manage project team'stimelyand complete delivery of research products
  • Draft public opinion surveys for a variety of research audiences, including determiningappropriate questions, developing polls and screeners, composing moderator and research guides for qualitative research
  • Monitor survey response partial data, mid-project, and reporting up progress, notifying concerns, and managing adjustments with sub-contractors
  • Brief and train qualitative group moderators
  • Review and approve data products including cross tabs, toplines, dashboards, and analytical reports
  • Produce and deliver snapshot briefs for clients ahead of final analysis and reports
  • Write and produce visually compelling andaccurateanalytical reports including statistical facts, key data trends, and critical insights pertinent to clientobjectivesand outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Marketing, Mass Communications, Economics, Statistics, Humanities, orrelatedconcentration.
  • 4 years ofprevious work experience in public opinion including a focus on Black and African-Americanresearch
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially succinct and concise reporting, asdemonstratedby a research assessment
  • Experience conducting polls
  • Experience managing vendors'progress and interacting with clients for product delivery
  • Experience managing people including supervision and delegation of work
  • Ability to produce a variety of high-quality analysis and presentations asdemonstratedby a portfolio of work samples
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office - especially Excel and PowerPoint.

The following qualifications are preferred but notrequired:

  • 5 - 7 years ofpreviouswork experience in a related field.
  • Experience generating crosstabs
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques to analyze data (regression analyses, cluster analyses, etc.)
  • Familiarity with VAN, L2, Catalist,Targetsmartor other voter filesstronglypreferred.

  • Annual salary range:$75,000 -$90,000base salary withadditionalsales referral, speaking engagementand consultingincentives
