Job description

POSITION: Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

REQUIRED:

  • Highly organized with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask with strong organizational and mathematical skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups
  • Ability to maintain respect and confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent attendance and strong work ethic with a teamwork mindset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Familiarity with payroll and HRIM software

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

  • Prior payroll and/or benefits experience in a public school setting including but not limited to:
    • processing payroll and absences,
    • preparing documentation for and tracking employee leaves of absence (FMLA and non-FMLA) and return to work,
    • onboarding new employees for payroll and/or benefits,
    • having knowledge about health, dental, vision, and other Section 125 insurance benefits.
