Stevanato Group is looking for an HR Generalist to join our team in Fishers, IN. This is a newly created role supporting our growing workforce.

In this role, you'll be the go to person for our employees, helping them navigate employee relations, performance conversations, and day to day people questions. You'll also support hiring and headcount planning alongside our recruitment team, administer leave programs like FMLA and LOA, and serve as backup support for benefits, working directly with our broker on employee questions.

We're looking for someone smart, self directed, and comfortable being handed ownership. This role is a fit for someone who takes initiative, thinks creatively, and uses good judgment about what to share and what to keep confidential, rather than someone who needs constant direction.

What you'll do

• Serve as the first point of contact for employees and leaders on investigations, employee relations matters, including coaching on performance documentation and helping guide performance improvement plans
• Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and share themes with leadership
• Answer employees' direct questions about policies, PTO, and attendance without requiring manager involvement
• Interview employees and witnesses as part of workplace investigations
• Check in with new hires directly during onboarding to gauge how things are going
• Support employee engagement surveys and help act on the feedback
• Partner closely with recruitment on hiring, headcount, and workforce planning (this role supports recruiting efforts but does not own requisitions directly
• Administer Leave of Absence and FMLA processes from request through return to work, including ADA accommodation coordination
• Act as backup support for benefits administration and serve as a point of reference for employees on benefits questions
• Maintain regular communication with our benefits broker
• Support compliance efforts including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA, and help maintain accurate personnel records
• Contribute to engagement initiatives across the site
• Support workforce structure and budget tracking in partnership with leadership

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of HR experience spanning employee relations, benefits, and leave administration
• Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEO
• Strong communication skills and sound judgment handling confidential information
• A self starter who thrives with autonomy and enjoys creative problem solving
• Background in manufacturing is a plus
• An open, extraverted, and friendly personality that connects easily with people across the organization
