About the Leave of Absence and Accommodation Specialist:

MarketStaris looking for a Leave of Absence and Accommodation Specialist to join our People Success team. In this position, you will serve as the company's dedicated subject matter expert and primary owner for employee leave of absence programs and workplace accommodation processes across the United States.This role requires a comprehensive understanding of all applicable leave and accommodation laws across the United States including FMLA, PWFA, ADA and any applicable state leave laws. You will ensure that leave and accommodation processes are executed accurately and in compliance with company policies and employment laws, while also serving as a trusted resource to key stakeholder questions and needs. With a strong focus on service and collaboration, the Leave of Absence and Accommodation Specialist will help create a consistent, positive employee experience and support the day-to-day operations of the broader HR team.The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, case management discipline, and the ability to independentlyoperatea complex leave and accommodation function while balancing employee experience, business continuity, legal compliance, and operational needs.

What Will You Do?

  • Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs.

  • Administer end-to-end leave of absence and accommodation processes, including FMLA, military leave, medical leave, short-term disability, long-term disability, medical leave, and other applicable federal, state, local, or company-sponsored leave programs.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees, managers, HR teams, and other internal stakeholdersregardingleaveprocedures[EM1.1], workplace accommodations, documentation requirements, timelines, eligibility, rights, responsibilities, and applicable compliance standards.

  • Partner with managers and HR Business Partners to assess essential job functions, operational impact, temporary restrictions, return-to-work needs, accommodation effectiveness, and any potential undue hardship considerations.

  • Providetimely, clear, and empathetic communication to employees throughout the leave and accommodation process, including required notices, documentation expectations, deadlines, approval status, extensions, return-to-work requirements, and next steps.

  • Maintainaccurate, complete, and confidential case records, documentation, approvals, communications, and supporting materials in applicable HR systems and case management tools.

  • Monitor open leave and accommodation cases to ensuretimelyfollow-up, proactive compliance with required deadlines,appropriate escalationof risk, and consistent employee experience.

  • Analyze leave and accommodation trends, case volume, timelines, outcomes, and recurring issues toidentifyprocess improvements, training needs, and risk mitigation opportunities.

  • Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local leave and accommodation laws and recommend updates to policies, procedures, communications, and practices as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Progressive experience administering leave of absence, and workplace accommodation programs; experience independently owning an end-to-end leave and ADA accommodation function strongly preferred.

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of FMLA, USERRA, PWFA, short-term disability, long-term disability, state leave laws, and employment compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience managing the ADA interactive process, including medical documentation review, essential functions analysis, accommodation evaluation, implementation support, and case documentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and educate employees and managers on policy requirements, process expectations, documentation needs, and compliance obligations.

  • Strong consultative and proactive partnership approach, with the ability to balance employee needs, business operations, legal compliance, and company policy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear employee communications, manager guidance, case summaries, and documentation.

  • Experience using HRIS, case management, benefits, or leave administration systems; Workday experience preferred.

  • Analytical mindset withproficiencyin Excel or other tools for reporting, tracking, andidentifyingleave and accommodation trends.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.

  • Experience supporting multi-state U.S. employee populations preferred.

  • Periodic visits to Corporate HQ as needed.
