Senior Benefits Analyst

Location: Cleveland, OH (Downtown)
Schedule: Onsite, 5 days per week with flexibility as needed
Pay Rate: $45-$48/hour 
Assignment Length: 3+ months

About the Role

Staffing Solutions Enterprises is seeking an experienced Senior Benefits Analyst to serve as the primary Leave of Absence (LOA) administrator supporting employees throughout the district. This highly visible role is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of employee leave programs, accommodations, and benefits administration while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in leave management, collaborating closely with employees, leadership, payroll, legal teams, and third-party administrators to deliver exceptional support and guidance.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeave of Absence Administration
  • Serve as the primary administrator for all employee leave programs, including:
    • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) - continuous and intermittent
    • Short-Term Disability (STD)
    • Long-Term Disability (LTD)
    • Parental Leave
    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations
    • Workers' Compensation
  • Partner with third-party administrators to process claims and ensure timely case management.
  • Communicate leave-related information to employees, managers, payroll, and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable leave and accommodation regulations and company policies.
Benefits Administration
  • Support the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Assist with annual benefits renewals, open enrollment activities, and employee communications.
  • Analyze benefits utilization, trends, and program effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Promote employee understanding and engagement with benefit offerings through presentations, educational materials, and direct outreach.
  • Organize and participate in benefits fairs and employee wellness initiatives.
Consultation & Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders regarding benefits and leave-related matters.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Payroll, Legal, and external vendors to ensure accurate and efficient administration of programs.
  • Resolve complex employee inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to benefits and leave administration.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to support decision-making and compliance efforts.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, or a related Human Resources function.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing:
    • FMLA (continuous and intermittent)
    • STD/LTD programs
    • ADA accommodations
    • Workers' Compensation
    • Employee leave administration
Preferred Skills
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws and benefits regulations.
  • Experience working with third-party leave administrators.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential employee information.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
