Mid-Level Attorney, Employment Law Department - Full-time

Location: San Jose, CA

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an employment law attorney

  • Experience in counseling clients

  • Experience in litigating wage and hour cases, class action cases, as well as employment discrimination and wrongful termination matters in California state and federal courts

  • Experience in responding to administrative charges

  • Familiarity with wage laws, leave, and compliance matters (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour)

  • Experience in policy development

  • Experience in compliance training

  • Experience in managing pre-litigation disputes

  • Experience with preparing responsive pleadings

  • Experience in engaging in motion practice

  • Experience in responding to discovery

  • Strong academic background

  • Proven track record of strong performance and measurable results

  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills

Job Description

  • Joining the growing Employment Law practice in San Jose

  • Counseling clients

  • Litigating wage and hour cases

  • Litigating class action cases

  • Litigating employment discrimination and wrongful termination matters in California state and federal courts

  • Responding to administrative charges

  • Familiarizing with wage laws, leave, and compliance matters (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour)

  • Developing policies

  • Compliance training

  • Managing pre-litigation disputes

  • Preparing responsive pleadings

  • Engaging in motion practice

  • Responding to discovery
