Job description

Westford Florist Art by Veny is seeking a creative and experienced Flower Designer for freelance help for holidays and high demands times. As an Experienced Flower Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating stunning floral arrangements for holidays, various events and occasions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing and arranging flowers for weddings, parties, corporate events, and other occasions

- Ensuring quality control of all floral arrangements made by the company

- Collaborating with clients to understand their vision and provide suggestions to enhance it

- Taking orders over the phone and in person

- Computer literacy

- Maintaining an extensive knowledge of flower types, colors, and seasonal availability

- Ordering and sourcing flowers from suppliers while keeping within budget limits

- Managing inventory levels of live flowers, plants, vases, ribbons, and other materials needed for floral designs

- Training assistants on proper techniques for handling flowers and creating arrangements

Requirements:

- At least 10 years previous experience as a Flower Designer role in a florist shop.

- Possess strong creativity skills with an eye for detail

- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while still producing high-quality work

- Proficient in using tools such as floral shears, wire cutters, tape guns etc.
