Job description

The Medical Assistant will provide essential support in outpatient clinic settings by preparing patients, assisting clinical staff, and maintaining smooth office operations. Working within a medium-sized medical team of 6 to 15 members, they report to the Medical Office Manager and occasionally travel between clinic locations.


13 Week Contract with the option to extend or go perm

Hours: Varies between 8 am - 6 pm; Monday - Friday; Weekends maybe required due to Urgent Care

Clinic Settings: Urgent Care, Primary Care, Family Care,

Bilingual Spanish

Back Office and Front Office experience

Possible Floating maybe required


Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Measure and record vital signs accurately
  • Maintain and update medical records
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently
  • Assist in administering medications as directed
  • Process insurance information and handle billing tasks
  • Educate patients on clinical instructions and follow-up care
  • Provide clinical support during medical procedures
  • Sterilize medical equipment to maintain hygiene standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in medical assisting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification
  • Medical Assistant diploma or equivalent training
  • Proficiency in patient care and medical terminology
  • Experience measuring vital signs and using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
