Job description

Dependable individual needed to work as Floater Teacher/ Building Substitute  at The Academy of Scholars, a college prep, private, Christian school located in Decatur, Georgia.  The Academy of Scholars services children in PK4 through 6th grade.  We are a school for advanced learners. Interested individuals must have at least a bachelor’s degree and must have experience working with children.  Because we are a one-to-one technology school and all textbooks are digital, interested individuals must also be technologically literate.  We provide a nurturing, loving environment and employ only individuals that can meet that standard. 

As a Floater Teacher/Building Substitute, you will be assigned to assist PreK/Kindergarten teachers with scholars when all teaching staff are in attendance.  If a teacher is absent (in any grade level), you will be expected to substitute for that teacher.   The salary for this position is negotiable if you are a certified teacher, or $40,000.00 a year if you are not a certified teacher.  Work hours are 7:15am to 4:00pm.

 All interested applicants must be fully vaccinated and will have to provide a background check done by a local police department.
