We are seeking a highly qualified P-3 Orion Flight Engineer Instructor to support a critical aviation training mission in a professional government-contractor environment.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide classroom and simulator instruction to P-3 flight engineer students, evaluate student proficiency, and support the development and maintenance of training materials, exams, and simulator scenarios. This position plays a key role in ensuring personnel are trained to the highest standards in accordance with applicable operational procedures and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering instruction on P-3 Orion aircraft systems, procedures, and flight engineer operations
- Conducting training in classroom and simulator environments
- Evaluating student knowledge, competency, and proficiency
- Supporting the development and maintenance of lesson plans, quizzes, exams, and grade sheets
- Creating realistic, mission-relevant training scenarios
- Maintaining subject matter expertise in applicable operator manuals and flight publications
- Coordinating training events and supporting simulator user qualification activities
Qualifications:
- FAA Flight Engineer Certificate or military equivalent preferred
- Recent experience as a P-3 Flight Engineer Instructor
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and flight operations
- Comprehensive understanding of P-3 aircraft systems, avionics, navigation, engines, and mission equipment
- Experience instructing in a simulator environment preferred
