Freedom and Wellness Counseling, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. You will also have access to our outpatient office as needed for team meetings and collaborative sessions, enabling you to engage with a supportive community of colleagues committed to providing comprehensive mental health care.

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate initial client treatment needs and develop tailored treatment plans reflecting individual diagnoses.
• Utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM V) to formulate accurate mental health diagnoses for clients, ensuring adherence to standard clinical practices.
• Deliver cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as an evidence-based intervention across various settings, addressing the unique needs of individuals, families, and groups.
• Develop and provide educational training on clinical topics relevant to staff and community members, enhancing overall mental health literacy.
• Act swiftly in crisis situations, assessing client needs and facilitating the appropriate interventions for urgent assistance.
• Engage in collaborative care by integrating with other professionals in the community to devise comprehensive treatment plans for clients requiring multidisciplinary approaches.
• Oversee and provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers and therapy assistants, nurturing a supportive and educational environment that enhances team growth.

You will work closely with a diverse population, primarily focusing on maternal clients and individuals from medically underserved communities. Your ability to connect with and comprehend the unique challenges that these groups face is critical to our mission of improving access to mental health support. As a therapist, you will play a vital role in facilitating their journey through various mental health issues while collaborating with community resources that further support their healing and growth.

• A valid and independent mental health license in the state of Oregon (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is mandatory.
• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Clinical Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Proficiency in electronic communication and experience with electronic medical record systems is essential for efficient case management and documentation.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage a sizable caseload effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality care.
• A thorough understanding of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is highly beneficial.

• Prior training in evidence-based therapeutic practices will be advantageous.
• Experience engaging with community resources and creating robust treatment plans that involve multi-system collaboration.
• A history of working with maternal health or medically underserved populations is desirable and aligns with our service goals.
