We are seeking a Learning Technology Specialist to join our Human Resources team in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Learning Technology Specialist,you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Maintain daily Learning Management System (LMS) operations, including configurations, permissions, and improvements that support mission-focused training and global ministry excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, HRIS, learning designers, and ministry teams to align platform capabilities and training delivery with organizational life and Christian values.
  • Apply technical expertise to evaluate vendor offerings, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for system improvement, demonstrating wise stewardship of resources.
  • Design, implement, and maintain documentation and support systems that ensure accurate data, user readiness, and consistency across all training and user experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?
Serve with Excellence
As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, computer science, or a related field; and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Learning Management System administration, technical support, or a related role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics principles and tools.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and their integration with LMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with the Moodle platform, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with adult learning theory and course design.
  • Familiarity with SCORM and other e-learning standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
