Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Director of Strategic Capture to expand its portfolio of Information Technology (IT), Cyber, Intel Analysis, and Cloud programs across the Intelligence Community (IC) and Federal/Civilian Portfolio. This position will report to the Vice President/General Manager of Intel Solutions (IS) within the Intelligence & Security Sector. This position will be responsible for leading, mentoring and challenging a team of Capture executives while managing a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of active captures. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading multiple successful captures of greater than $100M across the IC, Department of War (DoW) and key government agencies within the IS portfolios.
The Director of Strategic Capture should have robust IC customer experience and a natural ability to leverage this in developing credible, strategic, and unique solutions that elevate PWIN and disrupt the competition.
Responsibilities include:
  • Leading a team of Capture executives in support of a multi-billion dollar pipeline of IC, DoW, and Federal opportunities
  • Oversight of Capture pipeline, assignments, deliverables, and expenditure
  • Work closely with the Intel Business Winning Lead to shape and qualify opportunities for capture.
  • Proactive management of New Business Funds across multiple efforts
  • Mentor and challenge Capture executives in all phases of the Capture lifecycle
  • Provide briefings and analysis of Capture pipeline and critical pursuits
  • Provide leadership and oversight during proposal development phase
  • As needed, lead strategic discussions to include Color Team, storyboard, and shaping efforts
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships across the US Government
  • Identify and develop solutions that can be leveraged across multiple opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies to include automated processes, tools, resource sharing, and data reuse
  • Interact with all levels of the organization to stay current on BAE Systems capabilities


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Active security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience leading Intel Community, DoW, and Federal Civilian Captures
  • Existing IC and DoW customer relationships in the fields of IT, Cyber, Cloud, and Analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead captures from $50M to $500M+ for Prime bids
  • Experienced with a multitude of Capture contract types and pricing strategies to include Completion, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Performance based, Cost Plus (CP), and Time & Materials (T&M).
  • Experience with Shipley or other capture methodologies
  • Capable of leading and mentoring a team through complex strategic objectives across multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Track record of leading pursuits from qualification to award leveraging honed Capture processes and offering creative expertise
  • Demonstrated proficiency in locating key win themes and discriminators
  • Experience leading story board and color team reviews
  • Effective use of cross business area / cross sector solutioning and resource loading to increase PWIN and drive best in class solutions
  • Experienced in making a convincing business case on opportunities to senior leadership levels
  • Proficient in the management of New Business Funds and their allocation across opportunities
  • Skilled in the development and analysis of pricing strategies
  • Flexible to work and lead teams through remote, in-office, or in a classified environment based on opportunity requirements and business needs
  • Proven ability to select and build partnerships across industry in both vendor and industrial contractor spaces
  • Experience identifying critical gaps and plotting solutions to close on complex opportunities
  • Effective in shaping RFPs prior to release through strategic customer engagement and mission enhancing solutions
  • Open to engage and challenge subordinates, peers and leadership on critical pursuits to ensure we are developing best in class solutions
  • Proven ability to provide leadership and oversight during proposal development phase
  • Experience locating common themes across various customer sets to drive long term strategy
  • Proficiency in Identifying opportunities for efficiencies to include automated processes, tools, and data reuse across corporate capability offerings
  • Aptitude to perform at high levels in a fast paced, matrixed environment with minimal or no supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience leading and winning $1B or greater Captures
  • Technical acumen particularly in IT, Cyber, and Cloud
  • Previous experience working as a program manager or senior direct contributor for an IC or DoW customer
  • Active Polygraph clearance
  • Experience with FedSim bids

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $173023 - $294137
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
