Compensation: $120,000 - 160,000 Base + Equity
We're partnering with a venture-backed technology company developing advanced industrial automation and imaging solutions for enterprise customers. They are looking for a Hardware Integration Engineer to help bridge hardware and software systems in real-world production environments.
This role will focus on integrating hardware into production systems, including camera integration for vision pipelines, PLC and SCADA integrations, and supporting hardware deployments from the software and systems side. The engineer will work closely with both software and computer vision teams to ensure reliable deployment and operation of systems in production environments.
What You'll Do
- Integrate industrial cameras into production software pipelines
- Develop and maintain camera SDK integrations
- Configure and optimize image acquisition systems, lighting, optics, and camera settings
- Troubleshoot image capture, synchronization, and performance issues
- Design and maintain PLC integrations with customer equipment
- Support SCADA integrations and industrial control systems
- Collaborate with software and computer vision engineers on new hardware capabilities
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of production systems
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Controls Engineering, or similar
- 2+ years of experience working with industrial cameras, automation systems, or machine vision solutions
- 2+ years of Python development experience
- Experience with PLC programming and integrations
- Familiarity with industrial networking protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, or GigE Vision
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software systems
Nice to Have
- Basler camera experience
- Pylon SDK experience
- SCADA platform experience
- Manufacturing, robotics, automation, or industrial systems background
- Computer vision or machine vision experience
