Hardware Integration Engineer
The Opportunity:

Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. On our team, you will work will Booz Allen colleagues, other support contractors, and U.S. Navy personnel to develop and deploy the next generation GPS-degraded, semi-autonomous, defense capability. You will be an integral part of an engineering team to lead hardware integration to ensure the seamless, functional connection of hardware components, subsystems, and software to build robust, high-performance systems. You will provide direct support to the government client and manage the engineering team supporting the program. Your expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to ensuring capabilities are delivered to meet our soldiers' needs.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration in DoD aerospace systems or ground systems, including integrating hardware, electronic circuits, and components into larger systems and ensuring compatibility
  • 5+ years of experience designing integration strategies, troubleshooting issues across electrical and mechanical domains, conducting validation testing, and supporting Government review processes
  • 5+ years of experience identifying, analyzing, proposing, and managing program risks and issues related to ground, software, or hardware systems, including root cause analysis during system bring-up, testing, and field deployment
  • Experience developing and executing detailed test plans, including functional testing and performance verification of prototypes and final assemblies
  • Experience collaborating with design teams to refine system architecture, PCBs, and hardware, and providing feedback
  • Experience acting as a technical SME coordinating across hardware, software, controls, and integration teams to meet deadlines and integration objectives
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Digital Engineering approaches to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced DoD environment, work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams, and demonstrate initiative solving complex technical challenges
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science field

Nice If You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps working with pipelines and runners
  • Experience working with DoD customers and mission sets
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills to resolve complex, multidisciplinary technical challenges
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field preferred; Doctorate degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
