Job description

Hello Sunshine is a media brand and content company dedicated to female authorship and storytelling across all platforms. Hello Sunshine is producing feature films, television shows as well as unscripted series, audio storytelling and social series under the Hello Sunshine brand. It is also the home for Reese's Book Club, a fast-growing social book club in reach and influence. All of Hello Sunshine's efforts are anchored by a singular mission: to change the narrative for women.    

Hello Sunshine is seeking an Assistant in Film & TV to support SVP, Film & TV. We are seeking a self-starter who is well-versed across film and television production and has worked at a large media or entertainment brand. The Assistant, Film & TV will have the opportunity to work on everything from reading books, scripts, supporting the creation of film and television productions and more.

This is an hourly position and pays $23/hr with opportunity for OT.

What You Will Do

  • Organize and prioritize deadlines, follow through on tasks and keep your manager informed of your progress.
  • Roll calls, take detailed notes, and manage / update submission log and call log.
  • Read and provide coverage on a high volume of material (books, scripts, etc).
  • Schedule meetings and support the coordination of a high volume of project-based work.
  • Become well-versed in the current projects your manager is working on and proactively track each project's status and action items.
  • Review and track one-lines, prep schedules, sides, etc. when your manager is in prep and production.
  • Review and track script changes.
  • Format writer, director, and talent lists. 
  • Provide manager with detailed end of day emails.
  • Draft and manage monthly expense reports.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent
  • Prior experience in film, television, or books required.
  • Agency experienced preferred.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly summarize and provide coverage on material.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines promptly and efficiently.
  • Proven reliability in handling sensitive material and security concerns under very tight deadlines.
  • Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
