Job description

Flexcon is seeking an electrician to perform routine electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, contributing to the efficiency and productivity of our operations.
What will you do in this role?
  • Must remain in compliance with National Electrical Code and 70E.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
  • Use knowledge and problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and disruptions to production.
  • Conduct electrical repairs and replacements of components, circuits, and wiring, following safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to install, wire, and commission new electrical equipment and machinery and to enhance systems and processes.
  • Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed, supporting data-driven maintenance strategies.
  • Work closely with fellow technicians and engineering teams to achieve operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all preventative maintenance procedures
  • Must follow all LOTO procedures
  • Could be required to come in for a plant emergency or for snow removal
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools, contributing to a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required
  • Must be able to work independently

What does it take to be successful in this role?
  • High school diploma/GED or accreditation from a technical school or applicable trades program.
  • Electrical license required
  • 4-6 Years of relevant experience
  • Experience with AC/DC drives
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Advanced computer proficiency
  • Ability to operate lift equipment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to use a multi-meter
  • Able to read, write, and follow standard operating procedures
  • Ability to read drawings, OEM manuals, and schematics to complete assignments.
  • Basic math skills including reading a ruler to measure fractions of an inch
