Job description

Flexcon is seeking an experienced electrician to perform routine electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, contributing to the efficiency and productivity of our operations.

What will you do in this role?

  • Must remain in compliance withย Nationalย Electrical Code and 70E.ย 
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment, ensuring theyย operateย at peak performance.ย 
  • Use knowledge andย problem solvingย skills to diagnose and resolveย complexย electrical issues inย a timelyย and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and disruptions to production.ย 
  • Conduct electrical repairs and replacements of components, circuits, and wiring, following safety protocols and quality standards.ย 
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to install, wire, and commission new electrical equipment and machinery and to enhance systems and processes.ย 
  • Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed, supporting data-driven maintenance strategies.ย 
  • Work closely with fellow technicians and engineering teams to achieve operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.ย 
  • Follow all preventative maintenance proceduresย 
  • Must follow all LOTO proceduresย 
  • Could beย requiredย to come in for a plant emergency or for snow removalย 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools, contributing to a safe and efficient workspace.ย 
  • Performย additionalย duties as assigned orย requiredย 
  • Must be able to work independently

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • ย High school diploma/GED or accreditation from a technical school or applicable trades program.ย 
  • ย Electrical licenseย requiredย 
  • ย 4-6ย Years of relevant experienceย ย 
  • ย Experience with AC/DC drivesย 
  • ย Strong troubleshooting andย problem solvingย skillsย 
  • ย Advancedย computerย proficiencyย 
  • ย Ability toย operateย liftย equipmentย 
  • ย Ability to use hand and power toolsย 
  • ย Ability to use a multi-meterย 
  • ย Able to read, write, and follow standard operating proceduresย 
  • ย Ability to read drawings, OEM manuals, and schematics to complete assignments.ย 
  • ย Basic math skills including reading a ruler to measure fractions of an inchย ย

Based on region, the expected salary range for this position is ย $30 - $50 per hour.
