Job description

HYBRID and REMOTE AVAILABLE
Association Headquarters is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant proficient in multi-tasking. The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting Senior Accountants with month-end general ledger closing and account reconciliation for a statement of financial position accounts for multiple client partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review work of junior accountants and accounting clerks for accuracy and completeness
  • Recognize job priorities and organize work accordingly
  • Account Receivable processing within Association Management System
  • Basic account reconciliation (i.e. cash, prepaid, AR, investments, AP, accrued, etc.)
  • General bookkeeping functions
  • Work with several Senior Accountants on month-end closing for multiple clients

Education, Experience, and Required Proficiencies
Bachelor's degree is required and a minimum of 2-4 years of related industry experience in a public accounting firm with not-for-profit experience or larger not-for-profit accounting experience.
