Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop actionable treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, proactively addressing potential crises through pre-crisis and crisis planning methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation that meets or exceeds regulatory standards and best practices in mental health care.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and therapeutic practices in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective behavioral support strategies.
• Regularly engage in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring that our agency maintains high-quality service standards.
• Act as a liaison to service systems, state agencies, and community partners, fostering relationships that enhance our service delivery and community impact.
• Pursue continuous personal and professional growth by attending relevant conferences, workshops, and meetings within the field, representing both yourself and the clinic.
• Promote and integrate the clinic's mission and values into every aspect of your work, ensuring alignment with our commitment to community wellness and recovery.
• Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Clinic Director, contributing fully to a collaborative team environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clinic serves a diverse range of patients, including those with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. This role is pivotal in fostering resilience and empowering clients to embrace positive change in their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required, providing the foundational knowledge necessary for effective mental health counseling.
• Possession of an Independent LMHC License as issued by the state board is essential for practice.
• Demonstrated capability in maintaining clinical records and preparing clinical documentation, alongside an ability to express ideas clearly and effectively to both colleagues and clients.

Preferred Experience
