Flex Fitness Physical Therapy is seeking dedicated and passionate licensed Physical Therapists to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients through screening, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide array of physical conditions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of life for your patients and contribute meaningfully to their recovery.

Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Fort Lauderdale, where you will find a collaborative and patient-centric atmosphere. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and resources designed to foster optimal patient outcomes. You will enjoy working Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM, with a reduced schedule of four hours on Fridays, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations using subjective and objective measures to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual diagnoses and medical histories.
  • Utilize physical therapy modalities and techniques in accordance with established protocols, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and utilization of assistive devices, fostering a collaborative recovery process.
  • Document patient progress meticulously according to regulatory standards and facility guidelines, maintaining high-quality records of services rendered.
  • Oversee the performance of physical therapy assistants and aides, ensuring the delivery of superior patient care while adhering to best practices and organizational policies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, completing continuing education opportunities that enhance clinical skills and knowledge base.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in utilizing therapy equipment safely and effectively in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Contribute to departmental operational oversight, including mentorship, scheduling, and equipment management to ensure the smooth functioning of operations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Flex Fitness, you will work with a diverse clientele ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. You will demonstrate proficiency in addressing the unique challenges faced by different age groups, adapting interventions to meet their specific needs. Whether rehabilitating post-operative patients, managing chronic conditions, or working with individuals recovering from injuries, you will play a pivotal role in their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications
  • Active and current state license as a Physical Therapist.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience, with a minimum of two years working in a healthcare setting, specifically related to physical therapy.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting, pushing, and engaging in physical activities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a rehabilitation setting, particularly within a similar demographic to Flex Fitness’s client base.
  • Familiarity with rehabilitation technology and equipment.
  • Background in community outreach or development of wellness programs is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
