Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Echostar Fleet team requires a dedicated professional to manage the lifecycle, strategy, and daily operations of a national fleet of 2,500 light to medium-duty commercial vehicles. This role resolves operational bottlenecks by creating structured fleet planning programs and driving alignment across field operations, finance, and external vendors. Key efforts focus on optimizing fuel management, repairs, and maintenance frameworks to maintain a safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet. Additionally, modern fleet challenges will be addressed by leveraging artificial intelligence tools to enhance operational efficiency and data analysis.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
  • Oversee strategic partnerships and vendor relationships to maximize value and support a national fleet footprint
  • Execute a medium- to long-term Fleet Planning Program to align vehicle ordering, deployment, and cycling with business demands
  • Build and optimize comprehensive fuel management, repair, and maintenance programs to drive consistency and operational performance
  • Act as the primary program owner and subject matter expert for fleet strategy, removing operational bottlenecks and aligning initiatives with company objectives
  • Integrate artificial intelligence programs to streamline fleet data analysis, automation, and continuous process improvement

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):
  • Strategic execution skills to build asset management, maintenance, and supply chain programs from the ground up
  • Strong vendor and relationship management abilities to optimize external fleet service provider performance
  • AI literacy and application competencies to leverage modern AI platforms for automated fleet workflows and data insights
