Reports To: Operations Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
The Front Desk employee is the initial customer service representative for all members and guests. This individual is responsible for greeting customers, answering the phone, and assisting members in any way possible to ensure they have a great experience in our facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Welcomes, greets, and checks in all members and guests by using their first names
• Represents the company in a positive way by creating the initial "first and lasting impression"
• Responsible for keeping the Front Desk area clean, neat, and orderly
• Performs opening and closing procedures for the club when assigned those shifts
• Manages the cash in the drawer and reconciliation duties each and every shift
• Answers and directs all incoming phone calls
• Fixes and addresses all member complaints and concerns by informing the Operations Manager
• Introduces and sells products or services
• Attends all monthly department meetings and required training events
• Guarantees a clean environment by performing janitorial duties
Cleans bathrooms, locker rooms, gym equipment, and all other public areas within the gym
Demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to provide the highest level of cleanliness
Ensures that locker room and bathroom amenities are fully stocked at all times
Responsible for the removal of all garbage on a daily bases
Vacuums, sweeps, and mop floors as needed
Maintains restroom and locker rooms by sanitizing the showers, toilets, urinals, sinks, and counters regularly
Signs off on all task checklists or sheets to show work is completed
Reports any out of stock items ensures all paper towel holders and sanitizer bottles are full
out on the workout floor
• Maintains professionalism when not assisting members; avoids eating, sitting, reading,
Internet surfing, texting or any other activities that are not work-related
• Wears company assigned uniform shirt and name tag
• Supports all company initiatives, contests and events
• Ensures that guest waivers and proper procedures are followed for all guests entering the club
• Other duties many be assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Must be highly motivated and energetic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Has the ability to initiate conversations with guests and members
• Organizational skills to keep the gym tidy and neat
• Observant and detailed orientated while staying attentive to current surroundings
• Maintains and understands club procedures and operations
• Capable of multitasking, working independently and must possess time management skills
• Must be a team player, and be willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary
• Able to work required days, evenings, weekends and Holidays as needed
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• CPR/AED & First Aid certifications (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Must attend the Company's "I am Brand" Workshop within 90 days of hire
• Must attend the Company's "SLII" Workshop within 90 days of hire
