Asset & Wealth Management, Fixed Income - Municipal Client Portfolio Management

Role Overview As an Analyst on our Client Portfolio Management (CPM) team within Fixed Income, you will be an instrumental force in crafting compelling narratives and essential materials that bring our fixed income strategies to life. Collaborating closely with portfolio managers, traders, and senior CPMs, you will contribute significantly to the development of insightful market perspectives and impactful marketing content. This role is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented team player with strong analytical skills and a genuine passion for financial markets. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, mastering new concepts quickly, and playing a vital role in an established, high-growth business by ensuring our investment story resonates through exceptional content.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Play a pivotal role in developing and executing compelling marketing materials, including pitchbooks, presentations, commentaries, and website content. Craft engaging thematic content that effectively communicates our investment expertise and differentiates our Fixed Income strategies.
  • Market Research & Insights Support: Conduct in-depth research on fixed income markets, economic indicators, and competitor strategies to support the team's understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends. Assist in gathering data and insights that inform portfolio positioning and investment strategy.
  • Material Enhancement & Design: Collaborate with senior CPMs and design teams to ensure all internal and external-facing materials are visually appealing, accurate, and consistent with brand guidelines. Focus on refining presentations and documents to maximize impact and clarity.
  • Internal Communication Support: Support the creation of internal educational materials and updates for sales teams and other stakeholders, helping them understand our focused products and investment strategies.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in collecting, analyzing, and presenting performance data and market trends for various fixed income strategies, contributing to regular reports and ad-hoc requests.
  • Collaboration on Strategic Projects: Work alongside portfolio managers, strategists, and senior CPMs on various team-related projects, contributing to product development support, platform enhancements, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Subject Matter Learning: Develop a strong foundational understanding of GSAM's Fixed Income Solutions investment strategies, actively learning from senior team members to build expertise.

Qualifications:

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong interest in fixed income.
  • Foundational understanding of financial markets; eagerness to develop in-depth knowledge of fixed income.
  • Strong written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely in written form.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, with a demonstrated ability to create clear, professional, and visually engaging presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, with a desire to learn and apply new concepts.
  • A genuine passion for financial markets and a proactive approach to continuous learning.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
