Position: Business Analyst with mortgage, fixed income

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 6-12 Months

Looking for 5+ years of experience, secondary mortgage, fixed income, and/or fixed income trading applications. Agile, Doors, Rally/Jira is a plus.

Determine project requirements and acceptance criteria by extracting them from our stakeholders, as well as from current and future users, through interaction and research
Lead analysis and document Business Requirements and functional specs, perform data mapping and create process flow diagrams and wireframes, and work closely with solution architects, facilitators and systems analysts
Synthesize information rapidly and scrutinize current processes and offer better alternatives
Demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity and is constantly looking to learn new skills
Communicate requirements clearly to stakeholders, SAs and partnering groups. Write clearly and articulate effectively
Actively participate in design sessions to review and document design decisions
Write effective test plans that meet acceptance criteria and subsequently perform comprehensive testing of the software
Experience working in a time a time sensitive environment
Self Starter who is comfortable working independently as well as within a team
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Past experience with and knowledge of the mortgage, fixed income or securities industry is required. Experience with fixed income trading applications, loan and collateral management, securities settlement or risk management tools is highly desired for this position
Strong Excel and good SQL skills preferred
Experience working in an Agile setting, writing Acceptance criteria/User stories and working in an agile tool (Rally, Jira) is a plus
