Essential Job Functions of the Fixed Income Associate:
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis on municipal and corporate bond issuers across sectors
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of fixed income markets, including macroeconomics and fundamental and technical factors
  • Evaluate relative value across the curve, capital structure, and peer group to generate actionable trade ideas for portfolio managers and traders
  • Build and maintain financial models and credit opinions in support of investment recommendations
  • Publish clear, concise investment recommendations on new issues and secondary market opportunities in addition to existing holdings
  • Support traders and portfolio managers in trade execution and allocations
  • Contribute to client meetings and fixed income commentary by articulating market insights with clarity and professionalism

Required Skills and Abilities of the Fixed Income Associate:
  • Prior experience as a credit analyst, preferably within the municipal market
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with modeling and financial statement analysis
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of excel, Bloomberg, FactSet, and Charles River

Required Education / Experience/ Additional Job Qualifications of the Fixed Income Associate:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics
  • 3-8 years of experience in fixed income credit research or similar role on the buy-side or sell-side
  • CFA candidate, CFA charter holder, and/or MBA preferred.

$125,000 - $150,000 a year
