Job description

About the Role:
Baird Trust is growing by introducing Baird financial advisors and their clients to our first-class trust services. The Trust Strategist and Legal Administrative Assistant primarily supports a team of Trust Strategists who are responsible for helping Baird clients move their trust accounts to Baird Trust or add Baird Trust to their estate plan. This role helps ensure the financial advisor and client's initial experience with Baird Trust is smooth.
The Impact You'll Make:
  • Support a team of trust strategists throughout the Baird Trust footprint with a variety of administrative functions including scheduling meetings, managing CRM entries, and general support
  • Assist with pre-acceptance and onboarding of new trust company clients including working with financial advisors and their staff to help them understand trust company processes to ensure a smooth experience
  • Assist in creating marketing and presentation material related to the trust company services and trust planning subject matter for use by the Trust Strategist team
  • Serve as a liaison with other functional areas, external customers, and vendors in the resolution of routine administrative and operational issues
  • Provide administrative support including answering telephones, assisting visitors, and resolving and/or referring a range of administrative problems and inquiries
  • Compose and edit correspondence and/or memoranda from dictation, verbal direction or from knowledge of established policies
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, interviews, appointments and/or other similar activities, which may include coordinating travel and lodging arrangements
  • Coordinate and perform a range of staff and/or operational support activities for the Trust Legal team and Baird Trust Chief Operating Officer
  • Prepare or assist in preparing recurring and/or ad hoc statistical and narrative internal reports for Baird Trust leadership
  • Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records and/or other documents including the trust company future fiduciary appointment database
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

What You'll Bring to Baird:
  • High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification preferred
  • Experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 2-3 experience of administrative assistant in securities-related industry preferred
  • Experience in project management for both long- and short-term projects

Compensation and Benefits:
  • $56,100 -$72,000 annual salary range
  • Bonus potential up to 8.5% of base pay
  • Compensation and bonus are commensurate with experience, performance and/or firm profitability
