Job Description

As a Security Officer - Transit Unarmed in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to passengers and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, pedestrian access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and support orderly movement of passengers and visitors while providing directions and assistance consistent with site-specific procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
